Membership

Annual membership of Ballina Art Society runs from January to December and costs $40 per year. Membership gives you access to our art classes, social events and the opportunity to exhibit at our annual exhibition.

What You Get as a Member

As a member you can access reasonably priced tutoring from experienced local artists and take advantage of opportunities to exhibit your work. You will be among people at all levels, from aspiring beginners to highly experienced painters.

Members receive information about upcoming classes and social events via email. You may also vote at the AGM and participate in general meetings held at the end of each term.

Financial members who have attended at least one block of classes during the year are eligible to exhibit at our annual exhibition.

How to Join

Membership is by application. To apply, please complete the form below or contact our Secretary. We recommend giving us a call first so we can tell you more about the Society and make sure it is the right fit for you.

Payment for membership is made by direct deposit into the BAS account. Please label your deposit with your name.

New members are welcome at any time during the year.



Membership Conditions

Ballina Art Society has a strong commitment to ethics in art and respect for intellectual property. By paying your membership you agree to abide by our constitution, which includes a policy on copying and copyright. The Constitution contains information on the Objectives of the club, Membership, Management , Election of office bearers, Meetings, Subscriptions, Finance, Duties of Office bearers, Dispute Management, Public Officer role, Not for Profit status, and By Laws and Standing Resolutions. You also consent to your artwork being used by the Ballina Art Society in communications and promotional material. Your phone number and email will be kept by the BAS executive for communication purposes, but not published without consent. You may restrict the use of your details further by contacting the secretary.
