Maria is a local artist in the Northern Rivers and her work is collected both locally and overseas, receiving many awards from local shows and art exhibitions over the years. Maria also teaches fine art painting classes held in her own large, peaceful painting studio at Uralba and she is passionate about imparting her knowledge and seeing her students grow and excel as painters. Maria continues to change the subject matter and style of her work because it keeps challenging her to learn more diverse techniques and skills.
Odourless solvent only is to be used for oils. If painting with acrylics, you will need either 600 gsm canvas paper or cardboard plus a board OR a stretched canvas, artist quality acrylic paints, your brushes and palette knives. If painting with oils, you will need a canvas that is well prepared with extra gesso or a coat of acrylic to seal it, your usual brushes and palette knives . Chalk is handy for a quick sketch. Rags and brush washing containers. Please bring your own desk top easel.
